Challenge

For over 40 years, Mastro Subaru has offered quality new and used vehicles to residents throughout Tampa Bay and Central Florida. Mastro Subaru is a family business, with their two dealerships owned and managed by Pete and Stephen Mastro. Mastro started advertising with Spectrum Reach over 20 years ago. In the beginning of their partnership, Mastro Subaru had a single Tampa location and wanted to gain more market share on the west coast.

Solution

Spectrum Reach met with Mastro Subaru to develop a strategic marketing plan that would help achieve that goal. Strategic network buys backed by industry research, helped increase the overall brand awareness for Mastro. In addition to the strategic network buys, geographic targeting capabilities from Spectrum Reach allowed Mastro to directly target the area surrounding the dealership in Tampa. They were also able to target the clientele they were trying to reach with demographic targeting by advertising on the networks their clients were more than likely to watch. Mastro Subaru was one of the very first advertisers on Bay News 9 starting in 1997 and began a weather sponsorship on the widely-popular Bay News 9 and BayNews9.com, Spectrum Reach exclusive properties.

Impact

Since beginning their partnership with Spectrum Reach 20 years ago, Mastro Subaru has experienced tremendous growth. They are now the number-one Subaru auto group in Florida, with more offerings to customers than any other Subaru auto dealer in the region. More recently, they have opened the doors to their highly successful North Orlando Mastro Subaru location, which has shown a 100% increase in sales since its opening. Spectrum Reach expertise and product offerings are key contributors to the success of Mastro Subaru in Tampa and North Orlando.
